DIY Natural Glass Cleaner

Cleaning may not be your favorite chore (it sure isn’t mine!), but I’ve got some great tips for you today to make it a little less of a hassle! If you’re like us, you might be trying to:
A) Reduce the amount of toxic ickiness found in many common household cleaners and/or
B) Save some of your hard earned money and not spend more than you need to get a sparkling clean home.
Well, look no further! Here is a tried and true (and affordable!) recipe for glass cleaner that’ll have your mirrors, windows, & stainless steel shining like never before:

Glass Cleaner Recipe

  • 2 cups water

  • 2 Tbsp white vinegar

  • 8-10 drops lemon or orange essential oil*

  • Mix in your spray bottle, spray on the surface to be cleaned and use a soft microfiber cloth to wipe down.

    *Optional: Citrus oil helps to mask the smell of the vinegar and loosens gunk on surfaces.

Our homes should be places where we feel comfortable and safe, and in our home, reducing chemical usage has been a big part of that. A clean home shouldn’t be expensive or hard to achieve and little things like this help us to stretch our dollar a bit further while not compromising on what we value.
